About the Event...
6HEAD Head Chef, Calum Mackechnie, has curated an exclusive menu featuring six of the finest Margaret River Wagyu cuts.
Each wine pairing has been hand-selected by 6HEAD Head Sommelier, Camila Luzzi, and Amato Vino’s Winemaker, Brad Wehr to celebrate six of Amato Vino’s most iconic wines.
Margaret River Wagyu
Margaret River Wagyu’s secret to their incredible Wagyu starts in Australia’s pristine southwest. Across eleven sustainable farms, their cattle thrive in a clean, green environment with fertile land and reliable rain. They’re meticulously building a 100% Pure Bred Wagyu herd from the finest Tajima bloodline of Japanese Black Wagyu, continuously enhancing their genetics with elite lines like Stone Axe Full Blood Wagyu to ensure unparalleled quality.
Amato Vino
Founded in 2003 by Brad Wehr, Amato Vino is a small-batch artisan winery nestled in Western Australia’s Margaret River region. They embody “lo-fi” winemaking: embracing wild ferments, minimal intervention, and traditional techniques. The wines are typically unfined and unfiltered, reflecting their hands-on approach in the vineyard and a hands-off philosophy in the winery. Amato Vino partners with independent growers who share their commitment to organic and sustainable farming, crafting everything from classic Margaret River varietals to unique and adventurous blends.
